Finalmente se conocieron quiénes serán los candidatos a ganar el premio más codiciado por la industria cinematográfica. En la madrugada del martes se anunciaron los candidatos de los premios Oscar, La ceremonia se llevó a cabo en la ciudad de los Ángeles y fue conducida por la actriz Mo'nique y el presidente de la Academia de artes y Ciencias del Cine, Tom Sheraklos. La entrega de premios será el próximo 27 de febrero en el Teatro Kodak.
